I bought a pre LCI e60 and the previous owner retrofitted the LCI headlights without replacing the LM2. Wiring was terrible too. So now I am in the market for LM2 and proper wiring set. However I cant tell if my headlights are AHL or not, cos its huge difference in price for LM2 with or w/o.
any suggestion?

What is the part number of the headlights? You can plug the BMW part number into RealOEM.com - Select Your BMW Model and get the description and "where used" information.

Take the headlight off & look underneath it. If it has AHL it will have the "SMC" module as well as the Xenon ballast.
