I took my door panels off and when I plugged them back in the airbag light came on. Does anyone know how to reset this light???? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

yes the same look i had when i saw the light on.. I was told it was because I didnt disconnect the battery prior to uninstalling the panels (side airbags).. but I'm not sure. I guess I'm going to have to bring it to the stealership on Monday.

Independent mechanic with the right scanner tool (read other members getting it done for about $40-$50)
Buy the Bavarian technic scanner (about $280 but you can can cause and clear all the airbag errors you want!) :twoup:

Yes only a dealer or shop with dealer equipment can do it. Cost me around a $100 from an expensive private shop.

And I am sure, never mess with the air-bags with the battery connected, you are very lucky one didn't go off in your face https://5series.net/forums/public/st...t/bashwall.gif. Mine side Airbag did the same thing when the body shop took off the side door panel and installed my new OEM M5 side mirrors and had to taken back to my BMW StealerShip that was going to charge me $100,00. but did do it for $50.00. : )

Airbags works with dc and can only get that from a impactsensor so you cant make it go off whit ac as whit in the battery...:thumbsup: ////Martin
