how to clean throttle body

i just purchased a bottle of Gumout Air intake and throttle body cleaner from local automotive store. I would like to know how to manually open the butterfly valves without jamming my fingers the bottle recommends i use the whole bottle is this true ?

how often is this recommended

mean while i wait i have taken my air intake apart and washing it in the dishwasher minus MAF Sensor

i turn on engine like instructed and when i stick my finger to open butterfly valve the car turns off

WHY!!!!!!!

since i only used 3 sprays of the bottle im going to drive to the automotive store and get my 6$ refund

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

so did you actually remove the throttle body, or just clean the outward facing side?

If i told you, you can gain 10hp everyone would wipe their Throttle i think mentally i gained 2 hp for $0 i actually did return the bottle
