I have a set of chrome 123's I put on my e39 530i 2003. I love it but the chrome is pitting and I plan on keeping these on my car until it starts peeling. When it peels I want to machine the face. How do I do this. I saw these wheels on ebay and want them to look like this. Click the ebay link below:

I really would love to give my car the machined wheels but have no idea how.

Not sure where you are... In Seattle I found a wheel restoration place that can/does CNC machine wheels. I suspect they are not unique to this area. They seem to do a lot of Insurance repairs.

The 123 are cast so I don't know if machining the face would work as well if they were forged but I suspect it might.

I do not know how anybody could take a set of wheels and machine the face to remove the chrome with the contours. A CNC milling center or CNC lathe can make a set of wheels from a block, but to take an existing wheel and re-machine it does not sound practical.

You could grinde the face possibly, but chrome finishes are very hard.

You would be better off just buying a new set of wheels.
