3M is the only film with a clearcoat, meaning that you can wax it, etc...
The main thing is to find a "brand" that has the cut/coverage that you want and a good warranty. I have been really happy with mine. Get the door edging too, and make sure the lights are covered as well.

I had 3m on my 330i. It was really nice and did a great job protecting. Here's a pick...sorry so small...I don't have a close up on this PC.
I was going to do the e60 but the front end got scratched up from road debri in the first week before I could get it done. Still kicking my self for that one :'( ...I wish I would have gone straight to the tinter from the dealer!!
