Hi.

So I took my car to BMW to have some things checked, one of them being the high beam light was burned out.

I received the car and just noticed that the lights worked and all was fine.

A couple of days ago the light went out again, when I went to check it i found out those !@#$%^ left the bulb loose and it was touching the inside of the headlights.
And this happened to it:

After talking with BMW they gave me a whole story on how I had received the car as OK and showed this to them a week after they could do nothing for me,etc...
They offered to sell me a new headlight for 2,800 bucks, hilarious.
Long story short they screwed me over.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows a website where I can buy this specific part (The round burned one that is mirrored), instead if having to buy a whole headlight again.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

They were the last person to work on the car, they should be responsible for it.

Dammnnnn, that sucks big time dude.

Maybe you can find that part from salvage yards. But even then, if I recall correctly, you do need to open the headlight to actually change that part out.

I showed up screamed.
Asked for the boss and screamed some more.

Nope no dice, another thing that pissed me off is i took my car in because my 5 year warranty expired in November, so I took in October.
Now they say well its not in warranty anymore and i'm saying it was worked on while my warranty was valid.

no dice.

If i have to open the headlight i think i'm better off leaving it like it is

+1

They should take full responsibility for the damage.

I had a similiar situtation of the High Beam blowing out, It melted a tiny bit but I can live with it. I bought the bulbs and replaced them myself though. It was very easy if you are looking to re-replace them.

I'll try to post a pic.

Diablo loco, sorry to hear that.

There are many vendors here that can sell you the headlight for a lot less. There also member here selling their headlights!
