I know you car has the ipod integration but i didnt know it was Dension!
How much did you pay for the kit and how much to install?
Does the kit require dealer reset/programming and stuffs?
I am very interested![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

The whole thing (parts & labour) was about $4K. I don't recall any dealer reset / reprogramming as I didn't know much at that time. It was done at Take X. I had it for a while now. You can control the ipod via the iDrive, but the down side is you must disconnect the CD changer. No song names will be displayed at the screen.
I might go with your route since the price is about the same but it can control via the idrive,
I dont mine to dis-function the CDC if i got few thousands songs in the ipod,
but can it display the english song name?
Maybe i have a play with yours next time

Does you head unit plays MP3?
As i read another thread saying if your car hasnt got either CDC or MP3
You will STILL need to re-programme at the dealer to enable the function, in order to get the Dension 500 works
