BMW HK have below item:-
iPod Interface
Available for all Series. An iPod stored safely out of sight in the glovebox can be connected via the iPod interface to the BMW radio and automatically recharged. Music can be sorted by artist, titles, or genre on the control display, and up to five playlists can also be used. The iPod can be operated using either the radio controls or the multifunction steering wheel. Parts and installation price various on different models. save the $5000 and get new tyres, I think this is more importen than the ipod dock.

btw, you will loose the connection to the cd changer if you decide on the bmw interface. something to bear in mind.

but I dont have aux and the sound is very bad you must try it out. :thumbsdown:
