Seem you guys had a fun weekend... too bad I can't join because of business trip... Hope I can meet u guys someday!!!

My friend found this post at the 3er HK Forum and share it with me (he is a 3er owner). I don't feel old for driving a 5er, did u?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 series...
FYI, last week, under the 40c heat, I been touring with a UK family group of 4heavy weights on both my E90 and W203 in different occasions. After I took them one trip on my very bumpy C55 due to its pending for a suspension replacement I mostly used my E90 with them. We went to the Peak, Sai Kung twisties, Tuen Mun HWY.....all those places you can think of...
1. They found the E90 back seats are much spacious than W203.
2. They found E90 is very comfortable and as they said, the car is originally designed for Kawi Lo, so they don't think the car can't take them just because they are big. They even think E90 is too big for relatively smaller built Chinese.
Insight to the story,
A new car model is always 'nice'. What makes we think the 2012 new gen 3er looks less 'nice'?
If you buy a 5 series for more sitting space, it is overkill.
Why pay more for same engine power for more space just because you don't want your Amah squeezing with the kids. Fire the Amah or get a 7seaters Toyota is a cheaper solution than getting a bigger body BMW!
Besides, both of you are so young , why in a hurry to drive a 5 仔 like 阿伯( for kk, it means Grandpa).
No, not a 5 series, too many 'matured' looking guys driving them up China....
After all, I am really the appropriate 阿伯 to drive a 5 series.
t
p.s. 3 years is not a very long time to wait considering you are young.
But this '3 years' is possibly 30% of your youngest time of life.
You should mod more (more, more!)when you are still young.
I am a 24 yr old young bloke driving 5er for 3yrs now, never feel old or whatsoever.
I don't think E90 allows me to put my dog (golden retriver mind you!) and my parents in the back and sit comfortablely

Sup Bro, Yea i am running Breyton Spacers on all 4 wheels, the spoiler should come in maybe in another week or so. Still feeling iffy, kind of having doubts if it was a good choice. As for the diffuser, I got it from a shop in Kwun Tong... Believe the shop does primarily Audi and some BMWs. Let me see if i can find their number for you...
Hey bro, is that Robinhood racing in Kwun Tong you are talking about? I got my bodykit painted there, pretty good job they have done.

Btw, i am thinking to get my window tinted like yours (Maybe a bit lighter), any suggestions bro?

go for 3M that will cut alot of heat.
I have it, but if you what darker 1s you have to go for the china brands. which are not so good on blocking heat.

My Ride: carbonized MB coupe
Talking

E60 still the most "Ying" beemer, like Hk bimmer, i am about 6ft, and a E90 would be too small for me,
bigger is safer and better ride, it is in a totally different class.
In China the Audis are more prevalent esp A6, but E60 still the young man's mota, mercs are for old men they say.

E90 is good as it has loads of things you can mod, for looks the coupe is much better, my mate in Germany has the 335 twin diesel turbo, with torque the north side of 400, we blew the socks off a A4 something mod's turbo on the autobahn, left it shaking way behind at 255kmh.
btw the BMW boss rides a 525i touring everyday, instead of his 4.8X5 or other endless choices, only ever seen him in a white M3, no 3 series fo him.
of course we are all biased, cos we luv the E60 innit?

the ride is much better maybe because of the better tyres, i am using Toyo Proxes and you know what, it is not as bumpy as i thought it would be, most of all they look the business, i just bought the BMW oem wheel cleaner brushes kit
as want to keep the inox mirror finish and not let the Wilson wax guys mess it up.

eyeing some carbon fibre mirror covers.
will ask Robin hood to get me a quote on the rear diffuser, too many temptations....
