Hi Scalpal

Welcome? ? There's also wslam whos also from HK.? U and I got the same model

BreCed had lowering springs installed.? He had actually emailed us where he bought his.? Let me dig thru my email box and I'll forward it to u (or post it here).?

Btw, do u plan on buying your ACS lip/rear from BMW HK?? I wanted to get the ACS muffler but BMW HK told me it has to be ordered and costs $12K. yikes !? And from what I read in this forum, u dont get much hp gains, only better exhaust sound.

Anyway, will let u know re springs

Hi Bunbun,

I called BMW HK about the ACS front lip and rear bumper, they cost $6.4k each excluding the installation fees. I'm also interested in the muffler but $12k sounds too much for me . Anyway, I'll have my E60 installed the ACS lip/rear first, and have it lowered if the springs are available.

Cheers,

Scalpal

Hi Scalpal

Btw. does your driver seat have "it it" noise (squeaking noise)? Mine does, very annoying.

can you tell where did the noise come from ? i know some of us have this problem. that is from the seatbelt anchor rubbing the side of the seat. some just put a piece of cloth in between and solved the problem. hope it helps .

Hi Alohalc

I already tried that, but the noise seems to be coming from either inside the seat, or it might be caused by the leather rubbing against the hard(er) plastic/rubber back panel edges (where the leather meets the plastic). Still hunting for the noise origin tho....

can you duplicate the noise to the service advisor ? if you can, let them do the hunting .

That's on my to do list when I next go in for my free 1st time service..yay...free !

I can easily recreat the noise everytime I lean on the left seat bolster (? is that what it's called?).

gf366 got his seat replaced because of excessive noise. Hope they'll offer me the same if they cant fix it. Now I just wonder, if they can replace the seat, why can't they just replace it with a comfort seat?? Im glad to pay $ for it. I would love to have a better head rest than this current one.

i think they can replace your seat with a comfort seat but it'll be very expensive. i kind of remember i've read a post regarding this and if my memory is working properly, it's over $4,000 each ! which is about $32,000 hk dollars !!! i'm not sure how many people are willing to do this :'(.
