this forum is losing pace. I'm getting my car dropped on ACS springs tomorrow from BMW (dun ask for the cost, it's gonna cost more than outside) and already installed my rims last week.

The car looks ugly now coz of the ride height and I'm thinking of changing the rim colours later... the rims looked better in magazines
why acs springs?
they not that good.
I used to have them on my e46 and sold them after 1 month.

AC_S5, long time no see here.

Time for you to get an E91 or E93! If you are going to get the E93, please get it in White. Thanks
hi Mic325 and AC_S5, long time no chat here~~
E91 is more fun for AC_S5, by play around the rear window.

Right, he can play around the rear windows for the rest of his life.
It is great to see all the veteran coming back in action here.

I know but do they cover alinements, and other flauts around the springs.
When you get springs from outside they are covered too. not just BMW.
it like buying water goods car they still have 3 years warranty same as the dealers.
But it is good that you have them cos I can not get any lowering of my car very jelus

I sorta sold my bike, and got my wife a bag as a present. The remaining went towards rims and springs

For the intakes, most ppl use AFE CAI in here....but dont think its avaliable in HK and it will be costy if imported one. Actually i was thinking BMC CDA or Gruppe M intakes for my 530i but i have been told the Grupple M will cost around 12000HKD!! My mate had a 330i with BMC CDA in and it sounds great...but really not sure how it performs alone as his car is heavily modified.

And for the chip tuning, i wanna do that as well but it will not improve the performance as much as u thought maybe just 10bhp or 12bhp and will cost around 2000 to 4000HKD depends on the brands, not sure in HK but in UK,there are hundreds of companies doing chip tuning.

My car has accompanied with Xenon headlight so no need for the aftermarket but i think most shops will do the xenon fitting but just the cost issue,u will need to phone them up and quote a price but it shouldnt be expensive cos its not a difficult task even i did it on my celica by myselfs. (But one you need to concern is the idrive system, as all E60 are equiped with sensitive sensors which detect the faults so make sure u use the right watts vottage Xenon charger, otherwise it will turn up a yellow triangle warning light which u never wanna see in your idrive) For more info,u can search in the forum using search engine on the right hand corner of the web page and loads of discussion have been discussed previously)

BTW....is your car brand new? Facelift model?

Keith
Nah it is the 04 model, had the car for a while but recently got the money to mod it. Thanks for the input man, much appreciated. Yea I will probably just stick with intake, quad exhaust, springs, rims and xenons. I just want to be able to find a shop that does all.

1 think I forgot to ask is if you giving more power to your car what about the Brembo brakes and the steel lines?
Yea brakes will probably come later after I have done other mods, you have a nice looking car btw - I have the exact same color and want to do something similar to yours but with deeper rims. Can you recommend the shop that worked on your car to me btw? Thanks!
