BTW, I tried eibach + koni FSD. I feel good!
They are called "more economical aftermarket replacement parts" that are proven to meet TUV, or some road safety regulations in the other part of the world, not that those regulations are directly recognized here in HK, but surely they should be road safe...

Don't get me wrong, I believe, if you are itchy, any one is allowed to send their car in for a road safety check with the Authorized Road Safety Examination Center!

What we are talking about is no use... our quiet friend got his 330i directly from BMW with the rear LED lights already installed, now the Government Center still reckon those LED are not proper... just have fun and see what happen la...

Talking about illegal mods.
I found some cars come with no mud flaps, well spot some of these today on the road:
BMW 535 GT
Nissan Cefiro
Fiat 500
Toyota Previa

I think TD has got some kind of database to record what car (and year of manufacture) does not come with mud flap but has passed the type approval...

I find it weird that lack of mud flaps would fail the test....!!?!!

the main reason is because of stones flicking up from the tyres and hitting the rear car wind screen.
Like ST say some dont have them when you buy a new car. eg

I understand what mud flaps do.... but if some cars need to whilst others dont need to, then it just seems silly.

Should be the same rule for all cars... i.e. need front and back license plate in HK etc...etc...
