even oem is a mod.
if the extra parts is not from the factory when the cars arrive in HK, then it counts as a after market mod which need to be register at transport department. it dose not matter were to install it. even BMWHK has to take the car to transport department to register.

I will be going to the TD to register my 3M window tints on Wednesday which will all windows will pass.
all I have to do is fill out a form and let TD to check it and I will get a letter saying OK.
All register is free so why not do it.

Thought someone said will fail regardless of whether the tint was within the legal limit or not. Anyway, if u can register it then that's good. Good luck.

My brother in law just got his 911 inspected for post 7 year inspection. He has aftermarket exhaust, coilovers and window tint and nothing is registered at TD. Everything passed except the tint, the tint is lightest tint but still failed. FYI
