Some folks have had a lengthily discussion on changing pre-LCI i-drive to LCI i-drive system in the MOD sub forum. Perhaps it's good to take a look at that thread.

bmwhk will not do this, I asked many years ago.
this will work but will cost you more than getting a Bose set of HiFi in the car.
you will need to reprograme the HiFi software to make it work which no 1 can do in HK.

What have they done with the AUX in?

They modified the CCC come out with a AUX input cable in glove box & installed a switch on/off inside driver storing partition.I hv to switch it on if listen music from AUX input & Idrive screen display FM mode in 7x MHZ.

I was a tiny bit disappointed that no garage can use Autologic to reprogram the CCC / HiFi software to make it work .
