i have not replace with my new seal yet.

i did initialization my sunroof at lunch time.

when i drive my car after work, no ac on, only the lowest fan on, no window open, no hifi. i drive like this at least 10min. speed at 80-90km, no wind noise. or it just very very little.

when i run at over or about 100km, abit of wind noise start.
still alot less compare to the time when Ricky drive my car last time.

i guess, the 1st time when bmw do the initialization, it was with a new seal, after few years, when the seal gets old, the sunroof need to re check for new position again.

the initialization is automatic, nothing i can do but only wait.

put key in
hit ""start"" once without foot on break
hit and hold tilt till it gets to position A
hold at tilt wait about 5-10s
sunroof rise to position B
continue to hold
sunroof automatic back to the close position and fully open and close.

then u are done.

and now, i wasted my new seal. hehe
maybe i just keep it.
when i compare the old and new seal, it is not fresh enough.
i will change it later when i have time.

this problem is not whether the car is new or old, it is a common fault from NEW,
thats from my experience.

My E61, E60 and E91 have terrible wind noise too, if I close the shade of the roof the woind noise would be gone

Guys, please advise how to reset the gear box ECU, can you just do some trick or need a hand held OBD de-corder to do so.

Yes, think its a design fault... quality of seals are not too good either?

I have my lights proffesionally washed and polished, It was like all cracked and old. Many people tell me it is impossible to restore to its original stage. Here is the result, looks brand new.
