i just got my 06/ 525i from my cousin at about 41xxxkm, it is 42xxxkm now by me.
this is the 1st time i had a used bmw.
seems like many things got little problem. 
i'm going take it back to bmw for oil change and car check in june.
i think, it should be back with confidence after that. basically, there is no hit on this car, only little problems. and he had not send back to bmw for service for most of the time, maybe only 1-2 times per yr, he say they takes longer time to fix for everything.
so no more e60 for u? because car too old?

cost too much and have to leave the car there for small things which I dont like.
we all go to Sing Fai motor sports to get thing done.
He is a BMW specialist.

BTW we are going to a a mini meetup for ND next month

i saw the mods u had done on your car, they are cheap.
i like cheap mods, i may ask u where and how much u got it later.
and i like diy too, if only if it is not too difficult.
seems like not much people talking about e60 in the other bmw fans forum. most of them are 3 series.
