Hello!
1st time here, planning to buy a new car soon. Some questions need answers.
In general, how do u find the service offered by BMWHK? Has anyone been successful in negotiating for a discount (seems that nobody gives them in HK) or free options?
Lastly, does anyone know how much does it cost, pre-tax, for ordering Bluetooth Handsfree (644) & Shadowline (339) with a new E60?? It seems that the options listed by BMWHK are far more expensive when compared to the taxed prices in Germany & UK.

The service I had experinced so far is quite good. I had been enjoying their service in To Kwa Wan for 4 years and so far I am satisifed with them. I would say they are much better than what other members experince in US / Canada.
For discount, they don't give any out. But you may wait for their special promotion, just like what they had done last year. They offered a 10% discount on the E60 last year. Or if you are a repeating customer, they will give you a special "VIP" discount, that is more like $5000-$6000 off the MSRP.
For the options, I think BMWHK charges the same as BMW Germany, but we have to add the 85% tax on it. For example, for the M-sports package, it cost $60000, but after tax, it is almost $100000.

Oh, Sport pack costs $60k here, but it costs Eur4.36k in Germany (incl 16% VAT). Other examples include Comfort Seats at $21k pre-tax, but it costs Eur1.95k in Germany. I heard from a BMW salesman that they priced the basic car cheaply but use the options to fleece us.
Btw, the 550i seems good value compared to the 540i. If you spec the 540i up to 550's level, the price difference is abt $20-30k after tax. The only gripe I have re the 550i is Active Steering, if it can be deleted (with price reduction) then it'll be a great buy in terms of price.

I got my E60 when they are offloading their stock, so I got it for 450k which is 50k off the sticker price. The salesman told me to wait before buying he is very nice to us as we are buying a second BMW from him whereas the other salesman I talk to first when I walk into the dealer never told us anything about promotion.

You are so lucky AC_S5, my salesman sucks, even I bought the second BMW from him. He didn't mention the stock offloading exercise to me at all, damn! With the price I paid, I can get the 525i, or do 50k worth of mods!!
