do we need it in Asia cars?
No we don't have this device because the system calculates the rotation speed in order to monitor the tire pressure.

Actually, I also want to know how the E60 knows the tyre pressure. In the idrive, there is a page to set tyre pressure, what is the purpose? I did not find any device attached to the wheel, how the computer knows the tyre pressure and warns me?

Utilize the ABS brake sensors to determine the rotation of each tire. If a tire loses air, the rotation is different from the others and the sensors trigger.

yes there is a page to reset it
every time you pump air in or change tyre you need to reset the idrive.
you will need to have the car Idell to do this.
like keith say it is embraced in the ABS system

if the car already has such function built-in, why would the law insist on a after market add-on? doesnt really make sense to me.
