M3 have carbon fiber hood I think because it is real light plus my friend who own it say the salesman said it is carbon fiber, but I don't trust salesman unless they say they give me a discount

I too have some it it noise when my car go over bumps, is this the same problem as yours?
Is your it it noise coming from the back seat? Service rep said its a very common problem and can be fixed easily. Well, let's see if that's the truth when I pick up my car on thurs....

Copy form other forum, time to debadge our car for undercover look. hehehe....

BMW E60 530i
Silver or Silver Grey
12 units bought
8 delivered (all have "LN XXXX" plates)

From the rear, the only difference is debadged car (no 530i sticker), and the shark fin antenna has been changed to short black stick (like a mobile phone antenna).

On some of the old cars, VW passat or Volvo, sometimes you can see a box on the rear parcel shelf "Police STOP" etc, but this BMW has a concealed unit. A metal box built into the parcel shelf and only "pops up" when needed.

From the front, you cannot see anything. The 2 flashing light units are inside the front grille.

Dual interior mirrors; a very small mirror attached right next to or just below the stock one but very hard to see coz the whole interior is black.
These are HK police cars !! Wow !! BMW police cars !! I guess the HK treasury is flooded with cash these days...hehehe.

Is definitely from the rear but don't know if it's the seats or not.

Well, got the car back. The squeaky noise from the back is gone, for now. Service rep said they put some special magic leather lotion (maybe from India) on seat back and around arm rest. He assured me the noise will be gone forever. We'll see about that...hihi. They also replaced a face panel (one under the single CD deck) because the paint was peeling. I didnt think they would replace it cuz they could say I scratched it myself. Finally repaired both rear run flat pucntures. There were two nails stuck in each of them. I didnt even know or notice anything different, I suppose the run flats do come in handy this time

Noise gone eh? Well I will ask them to rub some of those Indian oil on the leather next time, but does the leather feels stiff afterwards?

Both rear tires got nailed before service? Where have you been?

At what mileage (km-age) should my run flats be replaced? Mine have approx 29,000km on them now. Thinking of changing into mic325's Goodyears.
