i ordered the Advan RS 19' in Dark Gun Metallic
But need to wait for 1 month

the 40d is fast and well made but I am not a fan, canons autofocus is poor by comparison. there are still a lot of die hard fans on the l lens but if the focus is wrong, it doesnt matter how good the lens is.

I tried the gf1 yesterday for a friend. with standard lens, its pretty fast. am waiting for the update of lx3 to replace my aging canon IXUS.

he got the springs already.
just like me he want to wait until the shocks are gone then he will get Keith shocks and install them at 1 time and save on time and $$$

if you what fast then you should not have got canon.
Nikon is much faster.
canon is good for taking portrait stuff, the colour is right.
even my 5D is not good for fast objets.
I may need to get nikon too if I go to F1 this year.

But saying this why are news ppl use canon more than nikon
