yes brake and tyres are very important when we are throwing our 1600kg toys around while we skills are not as good as those pro racer.

it's slightly bigger all round, and i think too ponderous, hence they had to incl Alu doors to get the weight down.
what they have improved is the economy and torque and pick up with 8 speed gearbox.
As mentioned earlier out of the 4 models 523i,28,35 and 50 - the one to go for is the 3.5i single turbo

BMW is making cars in different ways now

Put more toys in the car --> Car becomes heavier --> More electrical devices to control the body roll and steering =

Less "Real" driving pleasure
