Hello, fellow Hong Kong E60 fans,

This is off-topic, but I would appreciate any help. I will be traveling to China for the first time ever in February. I need to be at the factory from February 22, 2010 to February 25. I will be flying in to Hong Kong and my stay will be in Zhuhai. Some people at work say that it would be best if I fly in Saturday the 20th, arrive in HK on Sunday the 21 and take the ferry to Zhuhai and then I can start the day in Zhuhai on Monday. Then they recommend to take the ferry back to HK on Friday the 26 and leave HK on the Saturday the 27th.

What do you residents suggest? Is this the correct thing to do? Also, I have been looking for ferry schedules on the internet and I am a little confused. Is there only one company that services HK to Zhuhai or are there more than one company? I will need to know the ferry's schedule before attempting to buy the air tickets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. You may PM me since this is a topic that not many people might be interested about.

Also, what are some of the must-see things in HK during my short stay there? And last, but not least, is there anybody interested to meet for a drink? Dates are not firm yet.

Again, thank you for any help.

Joe

Hello Joe, welcome to Hong Kong. Given your stay is so short, you will have no time to see anything. Maybe we can meet up for drink and a short spin. As for your transportation to Zhuhai, there is a direct ferry from the Hong Kong International Airport to there and I believe they go quite frequently. You can find out more details from the Airport website. Have a good trip.

alternatively, you can see if you can fly to guangzhou and take a coach to zhuhai. it should be cheaper this way but hk to zh will be more trouble free. if you can squeeze time out of ur tight schedule, victoria peak is a must go for tourist. in zhuhai, there is a race track and macau next door has many casinos and clubs. or we could just go for a spin and then get drunk.

Derrific's suggestion is good, or you can take the airport express to HK station, walkover to the Shun Tak ferry to Macau, 15mins per Turbojet departure and go to the Sands for a black jack and a nice time, Portuguese food and some "R&R" then taxi to Zhuhai border (about 20mins) or you can take the helicopter from HK SHun Tak to Macau which takes 20mins and costs abt USD250single.
it's just in the Chinese New Year holidays so check for hotel availability!!!

Bill, if he choose your route, he will be broke before arriving Zhuhai. Still mine is the cheapest and fastest way to get from HK to Zhuhai.

One would think that , but this being a business trip, I need to find the most economical way to get in so it looks like I'll be flying to HK and take the 5:00 PM ferry to Zhuhai from the airport, on Saturday. I plan to visit Macau, the casinos, and the malls on Sunday the 21st. I'll be taking the ferry back to HK on the 26th, stay overnight in HK the 26 of February and leave the next day at 5:20 PM, which will still leave time for sightseeing in the morning and early afternoon. I'll PM some of you guys for advice and possibly meet for a drink and some E60 talk. Can't wait. Thanks guys, take care. Joe

Your plan sounds good, but one day in HK is not sufficient
