they still have a few LCI 525 left at bmw
you can ask about them.

don't worry it normal for car with loads of computer control the car.
At lest you did not get a MB which you will be very scare and have nightmares

great to hear you have got it sorted!! the most obvious things often get overlooked, even for the experts. am surprised though its not caught by the big computer.
