Thanks AC_S5,

For the Ipod thing.... that's my wife biggest concern as she is using the tape connector in her Jaguar (the quality is quite good actually) and she wants to have it back in the bimmer.

About the rims and the kit.... I am still thinking about it (even before getting the car)..... mayeb I should wait for 6 months. But I need my boss' (my wife) approval first!

Yup we all need approval from someone, even though is our hard earn money

Did you get any other options on your car, since you order it, you might as well get the sports steering wheel which is 2000 and the Xenon which is 8000 as if you plan to get it after it will cost you an arm and a leg.

I wish I can have a say on the option but that's the only 523i they have in the coming month and we are in need of a car (the jagaur is a total disappointment, my last purchase in this life). So same as others, no xenon (my favourite) and no sporting wheel (my wife's favourite).....

Did you ask the salesman if you can get install the steering once it arrived. They might give you a better deal than if you get it afterward.

I'm sure you'd be very satisfy w/ the e60...

For the M kit, mine is done in 金濤 (the water car dealer), and Bunbun had it done in BMWHK... I know mic325 may/will/had it done in Sing Fai, a shop that's specialize in aftermarket parts for BMW for about the same price as mine (about 2/3 of what BMWHK is charging us)...

Forgot to say welcome aboard! Nice to hear another Toronto-Chinese on board... Not sure if we were at the same college???

AC_S5: I didn't ask but I think someone quoted the price here as retofit and it's really pricy.......

gf366,

Nice to meet ya too. I went to York and worked in Toronto for about 4 yrs before coming back to HK. How about you?

Thanks for M kit info. Again, if I add the M kit, I will need to upgrade the rims as well, otherwise the car will look stupid with 16" rim on...... If I am not mistaken, I think BMWHK charge about 29K for the kit, right? How about for the rim? Anyone knows? Plus the fact that I need to pay the 85% tax on everything.

A real dilemma for me.....

I think you have to ask before you take delivery of your car, I don't know if it's cheaper that way but as one salesman say if you add before you take deliver, they will charge you the option price plus 85% which is still cheaper than getting it afterward.

Those 16" looks stupid with or without the Kit, but even more ugly with the Kit on so yes change your wheels first. Try that tire shop that mic recommends if you are looking for OEM rims but you have to do a little search here in the forum. Or you can go onto car8.com and sometimes shops will have used OEM rims.

I go to U of T but I have a few friends here who also goes to York.
