200? how long does it take them to do it?

Well he claimed he needed 1 hour(to justify his fee is guess!!) So I left the car with him while I grabbed some breakfast. It may only have taken 10mins.

1 hour? that's crazy! Your mechanic charges you like a lawyer does  Took me 40 mins to change it and most of the time I was working on the side clips, once I took off the first grill the second one was like taking candy from a child.

Hmm... Not my finger but one scratch on the side of my hand. I think the second time around it would be easier. But think about it, my hands will heal my wallet wouldn't

Just give it a shot, you get more satisfaction that way But how much would the shop charge you if you bring it to them?

I haven't install mine one as well, how much will they charge for that?

mic325, I've got a "green dot" at the centre on my i-drive LCD.... how long it's gonna take to replace it??

The Service Advisor said they can't install parts that are not bought from BMWHK, even though they are genuine parts.

It now makes me have a second thought on whether I should have the xenon retrofit, I won't get it from BMWHK, it is just too expensive, Singfai quoted me $12000 for parts & installation. But I am not sure if it will void my warranty if I have that done, even with original parts.

David, I didn't have the LCD replaced, they said it is better to leave it as is as my car is too new to have it "disassembled". That's true, I am worry they can't reassembled the dash like the factory. I will leave it alone before the warranty runs out, then I will have them replace it.

Xenon sounds pretty attractive when warranty runs out

So you just went in for the chrome trim?
