just thinking If a normal DSLR cameras can capture a F1 car doing 200mph then these speed cameras should be able to do it.

 

The capable of capturing a F1 car at 200mph mostly depends on the response of the photographer and the number of frame which the DSLR can capture in 1s....

In the case of speed camera...it depends on the response time between the camera detected an overspeed car and start to capture.

they do it from far far away, just like we can use our camera to catch an aeroplane in sky.

nevertheless, think speed cameras can still catch it. just that when they take photos the car will be far away and not sure if the license number can be clearly seen.

 

the bulge in the middle make it look like an american car somehow.

 

the technology is there so it should be able to take it.
