Why no launch control?
The transmission problem was caused my the people who improper used of the launch control, nothing to do with the transmission according to Nissan, although they have improved/re-tuned the first gear for the 2009 model.
The tranmission failure is due to people didnt put all into "R" mode before putting their foot down, that causes the transmission mismatch and leads to failure..

As SMG are not designed for the HK road
But if you want 4doors super saloon, then go ahead and join us!!

last I read was that nissan would not replace broken gearbox by warranty if launch control had been used but have to admit I havent followed on this for a while and havent heard about the R mode.
