So I'm taking a right turn into sorta an uphill road, got a 525 so its not the most powerful car but when I try to gas it a little harder, there is sort of a LAG until there is "that sound" then my car catches up, I might not make sense and sound a little crazy but honestly, I have no idea what that sound is and if that lag/sound is bad for my car...maybe I shouldn't be stepping on the gas at all and drive like a new driver...help!

Blue Magic, what is "that sound"... is it just a lag in the response? Is it bogging down? Thunking? Winding? What sound? Any error messages? Codes? What year is the car? Does this happen all the time or once in a while, or was it just an isolated incident? Did you recently fuel up and is that when it happened?

i think hes referring to the gruowl the engine makes when its outputting correctly as oppossed to the low groan "GIMMIE A SEC!" sound you hear when you just punch it at 1k. Work on your throttle technique, feather dont slam, pay attention to the cars feedback and adjust the way you work the pedal accordingly - takes years and years and years to master it but youll be a much better driver for it

Maybe I misunderstood... Possible since I drive a beast that does nothing but growl and pins my head to the headrest the minute I touch the throttle

Try resetting your transmission, as it is likely to smooth out that transition!
