For rolling codes you HAVE to run to the garage or have someone else there ready to press the button on the opener itself (not the remote).

2008 535xi, 2007 528xi, 2007 X3 programmed to 8 year old basic sears garage door openers. stick to it, it should work.

Yeah, mine also opens the hangar door where I park my private jet and it also irons my shirts...it's really simple to program...I just wish it had like ten more buttons so I could have it make dinner, take out the trash, etc!

Mine is a rolling code as well and I was able to get it to work, the key is to program the homelink in the auto first, then hit the "learn" switch on the opener and while the light is lit hit the button you want to program on the homelink 3 times (why does this sound like I am describing what Dorothy needs to do to get home?).

While it was a pain to program, it works on my 535 xi - on a garage door opener that has a rolling code.
