Mine is a rolling code as well and I was able to get it to work, the key is to program the homelink in the auto first, then hit the "learn" switch on the opener and while the light is lit hit the button you want to program on the homelink 3 times (why does this sound like I am describing what Dorothy needs to do to get home?).
