Has anyone with one garage door to open found a use for the other two buttons on the rearview mirror yet?

I thought for sure we would have a bunch folks jumping in saying that they have one button for home and the second one for their beach house or mountain retreat...

I'll jump in and say other other for the gate and third for nothing. On the original remote the third one is used to control the lights to the garage door openner but cant get that to program into the homelink.

Homelink is used on lots of vehicles. You can call 1-800-Homelink and they will answer your questions.

You can also purchase an adapter kit for interior home lighting or other things. I'm sure if you look around on the web you can find some of these accessories.

YOu can also purchase remote door locks for your house so that when you drive up you can unlock your front door. Handy when you have groceries.

So i was reading thru a post and saw the homelink thread...saw the homelink number and gave them a ring...ive tried to read the BMW book of knowledge ...and tried to figure out how to program it no luck...same with my other cars...and they actually gave me that one push i needed...there is a security button in the motor of the garage door opener that needs to be pushed before activation is complete...i was so excited after it worked...couldnt stop playing with it

Exact same experience regarding the HomeLink. Down to the playing with it incessantly like a kid with a new toy after I got it to finally work. At which time I had to explain to my wife why the garage door kept going up and down and waking up the kids. Thanks for the info.
