No noise while the pedal down but it sure worked. No more delay in gear enaging and dis-enaging but won't solved the jerky fifth gear. Look like need to go back to BMW workshop for EGS and DME updates. Any one have that done recently?

The OP was actually banned and kept coming back under new user names. Besides sleepyca, he was also redwhiteblue, quebecois and 545oh. Each time he was found out and banned again. The last time he came back as member diamond, was found out but not banned again. But he wrote that he was ceasing his involvement on the board. That was within the last 6-10 months.
Whatever the controversies associated with the OP, this thread is a very useful one; hence the huge number of views of it.

No change for my 2004 545i.
Car still feels a little clumsy at very low "parking lot" speeds and the "tranny slam" is still there. I see some members have asked how to find out what software version they are running but have not seen one (or might have missed it). Any pointers?
