Where you get the paint from is not the issue!! You have a colour code in the car's spec sheet. (This is usually written inside the engine bay somewhere or in the trunk (boot) or on the door sills).
I believe it's incorporated into the VIN.

Well said.

There's no such thing as "BMW Paint".

Of course, my point was that surely if they don't/won't mix the paint themselves they can get something pre-mixed through BMW. I am well aware that BMW doesn't make paint...

I guess the VW won't paint the whole bumper, they just wanna apply some of the paint to the scratches and then polish it. but the BMW detail shop wants to repaint the whole bumper. thats why the difference in price is immense. I'll post the picture as soon as possible, so everybody can see the damage of it. Thanx..

Guys This is the Picture
Sorry Yoko, picture did not attach... If the damage is small enough that the VW guys want to fill in the scratches and polish, give them your BMW paint or go buy a couple of bottles of touch up paint from the BMW and let them use that for filling in the scratches. At least the paint will match!

kscarrol, I have the paint which they gave me when the first time I bought the car from the dealership. Is that a touch up paint?
I have no idea. Sorry.
The Color Code is 668 Schwarz II. And its all written in German Language. There are 2 bottles in the box.
