...and I just had one replaced! Following behind a Tahoe two nights ago and he runs over this huge piece of truck tire. I couldn't swerve to avoid due to traffic and ran over it myself. Pulled over immediately and checked for damage and noticed both grille end panels gone. Damn, $40 thrown away and now another $80 I'm liable for for replacements. Is there anywhere cheaper to get these? EBay is about $45 per. Will I need to consider Crazy gluing these things in this time?

Sounds similiar to what happend to me, I was behind a truck and he switch lanes quick. As soon as he switched lanes there was a piece of plywood/tire in the road I smashed into going 80mph, it destroyed the bumper, so I'm putting my m5 one on tommorow.

Just this past Thursday a piece of tire that appeared to be about 12 inches long hit my car. too. Luckily, it was in the air high enough and slightly touched the hood and windshield. The sound is awful!!! When I got home I had black tire marks up the hood and on the glass. I actually had to use a little rubbing compound to get it all off. Luckily for me, there was no other damage. But I have had my grill knocked out before by tire pieces...

Here's what it would look like on an E60 (M5 shown)
