BOULDER CREEK - The California Highway Patrol asked area law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for a dark blue BMW after an officer clocked the car traveling 71 mph in a 45 mph zone about 10:15 a.m. today, CHP officer Sarah Jackson said.
The officer spotted the car heading south, quickly, about two miles south of Highway 35, and briefly attempted to overtake it before deciding against a pursuit because it would be unsafe, she said.
The driver was a white male with light-colored hair who looked to be in his 20s, she said. The car was a late '90s BMW 3 series, with no front license plate, she said.

they did not specify exactly where, but i think this happened on hwy 9 or bear creek which both intersect the 35. i know this is not e60 related, but close enough, makes me like my bmw a bit more. thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

" Be on the look out ", thats funny ! There are about 7 million BMW's in Santa Clara county, this place is crawling with em.
My dad bought a BMW 2002 in 1974. He said every time he would see another BMW on the road they would wave hello that's how few of them there were.
After that he bought a 320i, I wanted that car so bad ! He wouldn't sell it to me so I had to buy my own in 1982.
That's about when the flood started and it hasn't let up.
Good story.
