can members let me know what is the highest mileage on thier e60. i have a 2006 6spd w/ 48000 miles and intend to keep for a while and was wondering about the reliability going forward. thanks

Ummm :think: I think the OP meant distance traveled as oppose to fuel usage... but I could be wrong... Do you mean 520d being highly reliable?

My E39 (previous 5 series) has 288k miles, and would now be on 302k miles if I had not bought my E61 in December.

Traded in my e46 (320d) at 65 243 miles. My new baby has 37 282 miles on it, and I intend to drive it at least up to 80 000 miles.

i have 896 miles on mine. i lose.

Only 415 miles on mine.. :)


If your going to play that game.. then if I had my 1977 datsun station wagon still that I had back in 1980 I would have 8 million miles on mine today.

I have 31,000 miles On my e60 and a 7yr 100,000 mile extended fidility waranty and tried to use it for a adaptive reprograming software idrive issue and FIDILITY refused to cover it under their best plan and I had to shell out 210.00 out of pocket and THANKS FIDILITY EXTENDED WARANTY!! You really came through for me in a time of need, and forum I would ask a lot of questions to Fidility about soft ware idrive before considering them for an BMW extended waranty plan. In fact BMW sales an extended waranty plan that I would purchase now but I did not have that choice in 2004!
