High pressure in AC
Hi - 2007 550i, 115K miles. Never had an AC issue, car sat for a few weeks and now blowing warm air. AC pulley is turning with engine on, tried to put some refrigerant in the low pressure port and the pressure is maxed as soon as I put the connector on, have not put any additional refrigerant in. Tried the AC reset and no joy. Been googling but the prevailing recommendation is relieve pressure via the high side port. I just don’t understand how the AC overcharged when I didn’t put any coolant in. Anyone experience this before?

All I can say is there's something wrong with the system but can't tell you what because you gave us nothing to go off of but you didn't add any freon. I would recommend you use a manifold and troubleshoot the issue or take it to an a/c specialist.

Are you sure you're using the low-pressure port? Also, are you sure the a/c compressor is engaging? It would probably be best to read your codes first. |
