So, I have the standard pre-LCI halogen lights, as seen in the attached pic.

Not too long ago, my right side high-beam blew out. I replaced with with a similar bulb.
My left side high-beam just blew.

Now I'm wondering.. are the rest of my bulbs going to start going? =\ Should I just jump and replace all of them?

If I do go and replace all of them.. the question is, with what?

I'm kinda wary of buying an HID kit (as much as I would love some pure-white HIDs...). But I really do love the pure-white headlight look.

Should I..
  • Replace the one halogen bulb, and stick with the yellow headlights?
  • or upgrade all the headlights to those 6000k halogens?

I'm kinda leaning towards the 6000k halogens.. But I wanted to ask here for thoughts first. Anyone use those? How'd they look?
I'm also thinking of getting some upgrades to the Angel Eyes, and the 6000k ones seem to be the best looking ones (imo). From my reading around here, the Orion V2's seem to be the best ones out there (although being a bit of a pain to install on e60's..), so I'm leaning towards those.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Edit: d'oh, forgot to post the image.

You keep your car very clean, nice!

Bulbs will go out, eventually, obviously their lifespan is finite.

With that said, if you intend do Orions, I would just suggest swapping out the reflector housing with a projector, then coupled with a HID kit, voila, xenon headlights. I don't think the swap has been done before on the board, but it shouldn't be difficult once you find the appropriate sized projector.
