Hi everyone, i'm having a bit of trouble with the battery losing its charge overnight and error message saying High battery discharge. I have had the problem before about 2 years ago and had the battery replaced along with an IBS lead and now it's happening again. Battery has been checked and is 100%. I have done a bit of DIY and have established the cause of the drain. I sat in the car and waited for it to go to sleep and checked for any lights or noises that may be staying on. For best results do this in the dark on your drive, cause the neighbours think your mental. I heard a buzzing noise coming from the CD/ Aircon control area and the missus says it's made that noise since we've owned the car, 5 years to be exact. women, they think they know everthing!! she asked me to have a look then but i just hav'nt got round to it. Anyway to cut a long story short i pulled the fuse for the air con and HEY PRESTO!! the battery had charge the following morning. Sooooooooooo my question is does anyone know what the problem might be with the aircon buzzing like that? When the aircon fuse is in all works fine apart from "de buzzin" any ideas would be appreticiated

Ok I re-read..... are you talking about the climate controller?
If so you may be talking about the little fan inside? You hear a squeeling noise? Most annoying! I had this on an E46 once.
