I have access to racing gas here in Colorado, and also they have higher octane at some gas stations near reservoirs for boats.
Does anyone know if constatly switching octane's will be a problem, i.e. if you use higher octane normally, and then when traveling, go back to the premium?

In term of money, it'll cause problem - spend more
In term of power, you'll feel your car sluggish once you're back to premium - start hating your car
In term of engine, computer will adjust to the current octane use - No problem

I remember reading somewhere, many years ago... that when you use higher octane than your engine is designed to burn, that it leads to increased deposits in the engine.
So if you have a car built for 91 octane, and you use 93.... it was worse for the car than if you used just 91.
I'm not sure of the validity of the article.... but I do remember it.
Any truth to this?
