535i sport if you can swing the payment/s
Thing get all the goodies from the 550i's and close to the same performance , for 8k less...

Agree totally. I have a 2006 550i and drove the 535xi sport with twin turbo...Liked it better than my 550i. Get cold weatherpkg, HUD is nice with navigation (u can live without it), sport package and then hunker down, save some money for after market mods from the freaks on the E60 forum. WELCOME!

Ya ive decided to go with the 535i with only the sports package as an extra. The M-tech kit ill buy seperate because it makes the car that much harder to find.

If the 535i was available in Korea, I'd get it! But it's not... so I'm going with the 528i M Sport~

You know - you might want to re-think that one. I wish I knew what I know now when I bought my 535xi last February. I would bargain with the salesperson to add the M-Aero kit to the car I want on their lot - and see what they'll do for the sale. It might be cheaper than buying the M kit later - and you can wrap the cost into the monthly payment if need be. You gotta have a good idea going in to negotiations - what you'll pay if you buy the car - and then add the M Aero kit later. Bargain from there!!!

Good luck!

+1 for asking the dealer price, there is a substantial price difference from getting the M-tech when ordering from the dealer/factory when purchasing (via bmwonline) than buying aftermarket from vendors. Since you are only looking at specific options/packages already (as we spoke before about)...it might be hard to find the specific e60 on the lot with just those things....you may have to order it from the factory, get it built the way you want it...that's what I did....

Yeah, I would agree with this. I had also planned to buy the M-aero kit on my own and have it painted/installed. I see now that it is a little more complicated than just slapping it on. You need a good paint/body shop and someone that knows how to install them. I have gotten used to my car as-is and will probably just opt not to get it simply because I don'y want to risk it getting done poorly...so now I wish I would have just ordered the car with it.
