My Ride: 2004 545i - 2001 325i
Hi everyone i just recently sold my m3 and bought a 2004 545i and i love it this car is amazing all the things it has and the way it handles. I got the car from a local private dealer and as usual i got a good price but some things where missing like the nav dvd any ideas of where to get a copy of it besides the stealer or does any one has an extra copy even if it is a later version i will love to buy it please send me a PM. Anoter thing is that i bought an ipod adapter just to find out i need the retrofit software done to my car again stealer wants close to 350 bucks for it outrageous prices. I am in Plano TX so if any one knows another route to get the retrofit done i wil help me thanks. I have done some upgrades to the car like limo tint on back and 30% front replaced the exhaust and intake wiht a k&n, also got the rear wing spoiler the top and the trun one that i will install soon and planning on powdercoating my rims black. Anny suggestions for mods are welcome and hope to meet more bmw enthusiasts.
The pic is from when i bought it new pics with the upgrades are coming soon

Welcome and that's a beautiful car...
I lost the link but if you search you can find the link to the updated 2010 nav version which can be downloaded and burned using imageburn software.
As for how much the dealer charges for Ipod software update, I think that's about how much other dealers will charge also. You can call around to double check but from what I read in other threads, it's pretty much right on.
I'm still very new to the 5 series myself so not much modding on my car yet except for some lighting upgrades. Now I'm in the process of getting the Orion and planning to do the eyebrows mod along with the M5 cluster mod. Still waiting for those damn LED lights from Ebay seller. After the lighting mods, then I'll get the Mtec rep kit and larger rims.

Check with some of the other dealerships in the area to see if you can get a better deal on the software, it's worth a shot.
