I took delivery a few days ago, turning in my E46 330i. Wow, what a difference!!! I have never been so overwhelmed with the technology. I was not expecting such a revoluntionary change even though I read about the car in this excellent forum and the motoring press. It has taken me a couple of days and two lessons with the dealer to learn and enjoin the I-drive and other functions. They are delightfully complex. yet quickly becoming simple.
The active steering is more intuitive than normal steering, at least on the street. I may not be able to go back to coventional steering.
Once I got over the technology, I was surprised that the car is much more of a luxury car in terms of ride and sound than the E46. Just wow!
