Default HELPPP HELPP!!!Malfunction!!!!

Having this pop up on my idrive "Malfunction pos r , n ,d may not be possible" I have a 07 bmw 550i pre lci. I was fixing my messed up wires from the D/S +/- mode that get ripped over time and re-wiring them but when i finished malfunction code came on saying "Pos. R , N , D may not be possible"
Error malfunction not letting me shift to R N D but i could do it by overriding it by lifting a lil leveler so it has to do with that leveler but i dont know what that part is called or if i maybe losed it up and idk how to take the shift assembly off

I had the same issue and had to replace the wires so while I was at it I got a joystick shifter from bimmian.com. I have a 07 550i non sport model. Just did a valve stem job also. Do you have any other issues. I have 12 3k miles
