Help!Can M5 exterior mirror installed on E60?

I've ordered a m-pack to be installed on my new 2006 E60 530i, and I also ordered a pair of m5 exterior mirror, but I hearded some one said that m5 exterior mirror can't be installed on common E60 because of different electric circuit. is it true?
pls help me, if I can't install m5 mirror, I will cry cry cry

IN EU we have an accessory called M mirrors same LOOK as M5 but yes you are right the wiring is different, but that is why BMW this time at least let us have the same designed mirrors, so call it ///M mirrors. and welcome

Good luck!so if I did not misunderstand you, the right thing I should order is "M mirrors", not M5 mirrors, right?
they look exactly the same, but the wiring is different. so, do they have the same function? the so called M mirrors work the same as original E60 mirrors?

my e60 mirrors have folding up, auto-dimming, heating function.
actually I placed an order for M5 mirrors from my local dealer, they promised that the mirrors can be installed on my car. but I am still afraid....

If you have the fold in function, the M5 mirror should work. Problem of fearing that M5 mirrors don't work is in the states because E60 in the US doesn't have the fold in function and is not even an option. The M5 mirror have the fold in function so there's different wiring for it.

Good luck!They do? Europe has a ///M Mirror option that works for regular E60s?? Do you have a part number to that? I would want to get that for the US E60 and save some hassel!

so what's the difference between ///M mirrors and M5 mirror?
the ///M mirrors can't fold in?
if they have the same function and some looking, why should I pay extra money for that?
and I can't buy directly from internet, because chinese customs will charge a lot for that, and it takes long long time.
another reason I have to order from authorized dealer, because I don't want to lose my warranty.
