Model Year: 2004
I wanted to know if anyone got this message before. This would happen on occasions when i started the car and let it idle for awhile. Now the message wont go away. Service engine light stays on.

Not sure about the valve replacement as mentioned before, but my dealer told me it was an O2 (oxygen...duh) sensor that needed to be replaced. They had to order the part and I got a 3-series loaner for the day. Damn sensors!

Just curious, but have you had the car in the dealer recently? I got my car back from the dealer, the'd upgraded the software on the car, and I started getting the same msg.

I recently had this myself - and based on thread readings, a lot of people had different things. For me, it was a sensor. 500 bucks.
