I have a 530xit I purchased recently CPO. I have the premium package or whatever it is that raises the steering wheel so you can get in comfortably.
Today, that ceased to function. The steering wheel is all the way up, and it stays there. I can't even move it with the adjustment. I also noticed I have no seat adjustment control anymore. The key memory still works (fortunately), but there seems to be a connection as both systems failed at the same time.
I called a couple of centers here, but there's no service available on Sunday, and I think it's kinda dangerous to drive this way.
I'm waiting on a return call from my sales guy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how's the trim around the lower front corner of your seat doing? I ask because on the E39, that trim would break often, and the connector for the power seat controls (which also stores the memory for the steering wheel) would get disconnected as a result. Haven't had it happen on the E60, the design looks like it is less prone to failure, but I'd check there first.
i did mess around down there a bit yesterday, but all i found loose was a connector that i had seen loose before. the same connector lives under the passenger seat. my guess is that's for the heater or something.
all my sales guy said was to make an appointment with service. it would have sucked to drive around like that until my appointment comes up.
