Hi
i have bmw 523i 2006, the right window on the front open by itself and i cant close it..
error message ( side window anti-trap function )
the switch on the right window wasn't working from before.. i used to open and close it from the driver side, but now i cant close it and its open now,, sometimes it works from the driver side and close.. but after a short time of driving it will open again and the message appear..
help please its about to rain :S and the window is open :S what can i do? i dnt have time to go to bmw service center

 

That happen to me twice and i turned the car on and off and the problem went away except for me none of my windows were opening or closing.

 

this happens to me on occasion with the same window as you however it has never not let me role it back up

 

Had the same problem as well. But the only thing that would stop working is the auto close feature I would have to hold the button. It randomly would happen it's probably happened 2 or 3 times in a entire year period, and restarting the car has all fixed the issue.

Rudy: i tried the procedure in that thread and i didnt work i tried it many times! but i think that is because the the switch of the affected window wasnt working even before this problem..
in the first day of having this problem i were resolve it by switch the car off and wait about 5-10 min and then switch it on then i can close the window from the driver seat ,, but now i have to wait 24 hours until i can close the window and after a 5 min of driving it will reopen by itself :S and repeat the story agin.. the problem that im too busy until the next saturday so i decide not to ride the car :S if someone have any idea about how can i solve this issue iwill be thankful
