Yeah, well I can tell by the heat (or lack of it) coming out through the vents that it takes a very long time if you wait for the engine to warm up from cold, especially from about -20C. Also, the white marks on the tach do serve some purpose and do take a long time to disappear to only 4 visible marks when letting the engine warm up using idle speed.

The bun warmers and heated steering wheel are really great and one more reason to drive off immediately after starting the engine.
