Default Help please: my high beams can't be turned off

Background on car: 2007 550i, bought it used few years ago and the LCI headlights were retrofitted by previous owner. Whenever I start my car, turn the headlights on, they are normal.. 15 to 30 seconds later they automatically turn the high beams on, and I can't turn them off..my angel eyes on my passenger side is also out, but it isn't the bulb because I swapped the bulbs and the bulb still worked on other side. Someone help me so I quit looking like a douche bag on the road! Thanks!

Need to pull codes... First blush with high beam problem, would suspect light module problem, but really need to have BMW specific codes pulled.

This sounds like the guy who retrofitted the lights never programmed the LCM or even switched to LCM2, i'd start by checking the module. its location and how to tell if its the LCM1 or LCM2 is all over the forum

I'm pretty sure the car had LCM2 switched, it was working fine for 4+ years.. it just started malfunctioning. I took the car into dealership today but they wouldn't even attempt to work on it because of the coding involved..

Apologies i somehow understood from your first post that your lights have been like that since you bought the car. Then id go with jtbgonesailing and say you'll need to pull codes and most likely the module is shit. Try an indy if your dealership is going to be that way, their loss.

I've tried taking it to two other independent shops so far that "specializes" in bmws, but none of them would know where to start. So far I'm out of luck, tomorrow I am trying another shop that does a lot of retrofits / coding so hopefully they can help me out..

So I took my car to European auto source in anaheim, and they swapped in the new LCM and used autologic to try and retrofit it. Problem was now I have more issues.. the blinker starts blinking the high beam, my passenger angel eye is out, and host of other issues when blinking. I don't know what to do now..
