I'm looking at upgrading my wheels on 07 550i Sport. The car currently has 18" Style 124 wheels, and is pretty much stock, and does not have M body kit.

These are the wheels i'm considering in 19" size:
1) 166 OEM
2) Miro 167 replica
3) VMR CSL
4) VMR 170 (not sure if anyone has these on their E60 yet?)

The question I had is, with stock SPORT suspension and no body kit, which one of these wheels would have the best fit. Also are there any quality or ride issues I need to be concerned with on any of these? Somewhere I read you may need hub-centric rings with some of these sets. I'm not sure what those are and if they could introduce vibrations.

I'll probably be putting General UHPs on the set I decide to get.

If all else is even in terms of fit and ride, choosing a style will be very difficult (they all look great), so i'm hoping to eliminate a few based on other factors outside styling.

Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean the VMR 710?

All of those wheels are good choices. Can't go wrong with the 166 OEM. The Miro 167 rep may require hub-centric rings. Other folks here are running those wheels with no problems. Have you considered getting the 167 OEM? VMRs are also good wheels. Both styles look great and are hub-centric. Bottom line, get the one that you like the best. After all you're going to be the one looking at the car every day.

Yeah I did mean VMR 710 (not 170) - was typo.

I didn't really consider 20s. Would they fit and look ok with stock sport suspension?

Do any of the above wheels come in 20"? Also will the ride be pretty harsh with 20s?

I don't believe any of those are available in 20", except for the Miro 167. Difference of harshness between 19 and 20" wheels would be minimal. You may also consider the quality of the roads that you drive on if they are smooth or not, in deciding between 19 and 20" wheels.

Between the choices you have provided...166's or VMR CSL's GL

member anand_rahim has 20" OEM radials (style 32)...if you wanna go 20"s but stay OEM...
